CAMBRIDGE SUMMER  MUSIC was founded in 1979. It exists to promote live classical music of the highest calibre in Cambridge and the surrounding villages.

It presents outstanding soloists, chamber ensembles and orchestras as well as supporting talented young artists at the beginning of their careers. It provides a platform for both living composers and more familiar repertoire, all performed in beautiful historic settings in and around our great city.

Cambridge Summer Music is delighted to announce the appointment of leading choral conductor David Hill as Director for the 2018 Festival – our 40th anniversary year.

The 2018 Festival will take place from 6-21 July.
