For 40 years Cambridge Summer Music Ltd (CSM) has promoted live performances of classical music of the highest calibre in Cambridge and the surrounding villages.
Founded in 1979 as an organ recital series, CSM’s activity has grown to encompass vocal and instrumental music of diverse genres, ranging from the most intimate solo and chamber repertoire to works for massed choir and orchestra.
In 2018 CSM is promoting nearly 40 concerts as part of the annual Cambridge Summer Music Festival in July as well as additional events throughout the year. Through its activities CSM reaches more than 15,000 local, national and international concertgoers, enriching lives with music-making of distinction and maintaining the region’s vibrant classical music tradition.
