Cambridge Summer Music Ltd (CSM) is a registered charity that for over 40 years has promoted live performances of classical music of the highest quality in Cambridge and the surrounding villages.


Founded in 1979 as an organ recital series, CSM’s activity has grown to encompass vocal and instrumental music of diverse genres, ranging from the most intimate solo and chamber repertoire to works for massed choir and orchestra. CSM promotes around 30 concerts as part of the annual Cambridge Summer Music Festival in July as well as additional events during the year. CSM reaches more than 15,000 local, national and international concertgoers through its activities, enriching lives with music-making of distinction and maintaining the region’s vibrant classical music tradition.
