Virtuoso pianist Reiko Fujisawa joins the well-known actor Crawford Logan to present a fascinating and moving portrait of Clara Schumann in words and music. Clara’s life was distinguished by an international career which spanned more than sixty years, but was also marked by tragedy. She was at once a leading pianist of her day; the wife of one great composer and the intimate friend of another; mother of eight children; composer and teacher. We see her now as a strikingly independent woman – a woman of her time, and yet one who worked tirelessly against the grain of assumption and prejudice.
