08 Mar TG Collective
Wednesday 18 July 2018, 6.15pm
Cambridge University Botanic Garden
On Wednesday evenings in July Cambridge University Botanic Garden rings to the sound of live music when we present Sounds Green – the best in open-air music. Bring a rug and a picnic; open to all ages. Food, ice creams and drinks on sale.
The diverse instrumental group TG Collective bring together an intriguing mix of hotclub, flamenco, jazz and contemporary classical influences, based around the core of guitarists Jamie Fekete and Sam Slater. Creating ‘an exciting, sensuous sound’, TGC perform original music and arrangements, touching on influences as varied as Paco de Lucia to Django Reinhardt and JS Bach. They have built up a strong following with their intense live performances.
Music from 6.15 to 7.30pm; garden closes at 8.00pm.
Retiring collection towards cost of concerts – for admission prices to garden see their website
